Greetings in Christ,
This weekend, our gospel provides the process for bringing a brother or sister who has sinned against you back into full communion with the Church. The process begins with attempting to reconcile the sinner privately, then bringing in one or two witnesses. If that does not work, the leadership of the Church may have to get involved so the sinner realizes the seriousness of the situation. In short, our Lord, who is the embodiment of wisdom, knows the best way of attempting to bring about reconciliation.
Labor Day Mass: This weekend we celebrate Labor Day weekend, which unofficially closes summer as we look to fall. We will have Mass on Labor Day (Monday) at 9:00 am. The parish office will be closed.
Greece Pilgrimage: We will be leaving for our Greece Pilgrimage on Monday, September 14. Our pilgrimage will follow the footsteps of St. Paul, the patron of our Archdiocese. One of the highlights will be to see the Blessed Virgin Mary’s house in Ephesus! St. John brought our Blessed Mother to Ephesus, as he was the bishop there after the Resurrection of Christ. Fr. Van Sloun, Fr. Ulrick, and Fr. Maloney have agreed to fill in and help take care of pastoral needs while I am away in Greece. If you would be so kind, please pray for us while on pilgrimage!
Capital Campaign Update: We completed the case statement for our Growth in Christ capital campaign. Our goal is to mail out packets for all registered church and school families with information about the capital campaign, which will include ask amounts for each family. The campaign packets will be mailed to families before the weekend of September 12 and 13, which is our capital campaign kickoff weekend. If you would, please pray for the campaign that our Lord will bless us with a spirit of generosity, and we will have the humility to accept whatever He wills.
Prayers for Students: Our students began school this week. We are off to a great start! Our students are bringing so much life to our campus. If you would be so kind, please pray for our students and their families as they begin a new academic year. May all our students grow in academic excellence, develop new friendships, and deepen their faith in and love for our Lord Jesus Christ this year!
Notre Dame Football: This weekend Notre Dame Football begins its season in an iconic game against the Wisconsin Badgers at Lambeau Field! The Shamrock Series game is at 6:30 pm this Sunday. The Associated Press has Notre Dame Football ranked at number 4 to begin the season.
Psalms Course: I will offer an adult Bible study on the Book of Psalms beginning in October. We say or sing the psalms at every Mass, helping us to reflect more deeply on the first reading. The Psalms are a school of prayer that incorporates every human emotion as we offer our hearts to God through the twists and turns of life. Registration is available on our website.

Little Flower Chapel: Tilework continued this week in our chapel. Our stained-glass windows are in the process of being repaired. We have a great plan in place for lighting our Stations of the Cross. Our goal is to be back in the chapel by the end of this month, with all completed work (stained-glass windows and Stations of the Cross) by the beginning of Advent. By God’s grace, everything will turn out beautifully!
Join Us for Wine & Cheese with Cole Thomas, Sat., Sept. 12: We are happy to share that Cole will be providing live music for us at Wine and Cheese evening on September 12. Cole will be filling in for Soojung and will play from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Many of you will remember him from his years playing at our school Masses and helping out on weekends. He’s a wonderful entertainer and is excited to return to St. Therese for a visit. We hope you’ll join us for an enjoyable evening of music and community.
Enkrateia House of Hope Invite Mon., Sept. 14: Enkrateia House of Hope is joyfully celebrating its fifth anniversary, and you are warmly invited to join in the festivities. We are deeply grateful for your prayers, your encouragement, and the many ways you have supported our mission. To mark this milestone, an Italian dinner fundraiser will be held at St. Victoria Catholic Church on September 14, with dinner served from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person. October’s gathering will center on our patron, Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, and November will feature a ticketed event as our parish hosts the REBOOT experience with Chris Stefanick. We warmly encourage all men of the parish to mark their calendars and join us for these meaningful opportunities to grow in faith together.

Donations to the Annual Fund go directly towards the school's general operating budget and are used where they are most needed each year: teacher salaries, supplies, utilities, and special projects and initiatives.
Any school spirit apparel is encouraged, but not required. Think letter jackets, varsity sweaters, your alma mater sweatshirt, cheer skirts, and your favorite game-day style.
Included in the price of your ticket are beer, wine, a specialty cocktail, and live music. A food truck will be available for purchase.

Giving Garden Update: Over 4,200 lbs. of produce has been donated this year so far (3,100+ lbs. in August alone!) to Sharing and Caring Hands and ICA. Thank you to our volunteers and home gardeners! Gardening continues through early October.

Prayer Shawl Ministry: Do you know someone who would be comforted and blessed by a prayer shawl OR lap blanket? They are created with care, love, and prayer for someone in need. Perhaps you know of someone who has lost a loved one, is hospitalized, is preparing for surgery, or is suffering in any way? Maybe a friend, a relative, or even yourself. Contact Geri in the parish office at 952-473-4422 to help pick out a shawl or lap blanket to give to someone who needs comfort.
