September 11, 2026
Greetings in Christ,
Today marks a very special day in our nation’s history, as it is the 25
th anniversary of the horrific day of the 9/11 attacks on our country. On this special anniversary, I invite you to pray a Rosary and to pray for all those who lost their lives on that memorable day. Please also keep the families of those who lost loved ones on that day in your prayers.
I also wanted to share a powerful video that speaks to the courage, survival, and profound human resilience shown on that day from
PEOPLE. It is a moving testimony that reminds us of both the tragedy and the strength that emerged in its aftermath.
Capital Campaign Update: You have either received or will soon receive a packet in the mail with the capital campaign materials. In the packet, you will find a cover letter and a case statement providing information about the capital campaign. We are asking every family to prayerfully consider making a pledge and contributing to our Growth in Christ Capital Campaign to strengthen our beloved parish that so many call home.
After the Saturday 5:00 pm Mass, we will have wine and cheese followed by a little musical concert by Cole Thomas, who is a gifted musician. After the Sunday 8:00 am and 10:00 am Masses, we will have coffee and donuts. Below is an electronic version of the capital campaign so you can see the various projects that will help strengthen our parish community for generations to come. If you would, please pray for the campaign that our Lord will bless us with a spirit of generosity, and we will have the humility to accept whatever He wills.
Greece Pilgrimage: We will be leaving for our Greece Pilgrimage this Monday, September 14. Our pilgrimage will follow the footsteps of St. Paul, the patron of our Archdiocese. One of the highlights will be to see the Blessed Virgin Mary’s house in Ephesus! Fr. Van Sloun, Fr. Ulrick, and Fr. Maloney have agreed to fill in and help take care of pastoral needs while away in Greece. If you would be so kind, please pray for us while on pilgrimage! I will send along photos from our pilgrimage and remain in contact with the parish while on the pilgrimage. Please know that I will be praying quite a bit for everyone!
Psalms Course: I have been working diligently to prepare for the first couple of classes of the Psalms course. It is going to be a great course! The Psalms are fascinating! There is so much to discuss about the most famous poetic literature in the world! The course will begin on Tuesday, October 6. We will offer a morning session at 9:00 am and an evening session at 6:30 pm. You can sign up on our parish website or after the Masses this weekend, as we will have a table set up.
New Parish Website: After working for months behind the scenes, we finally updated our parish website! Our parish website has a fresh new look that makes it easier to find things. Feel free to take a little time to explore our new parish website!
Join Us for Wine & Cheese with Cole Thomas, Sat., Sept. 12: We are happy to share that Cole will be providing live music for us at the Wine and Cheese evening on September 12. Cole will be filling in for Soojung and will play from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Many of you will remember him from his years playing at our school Masses and helping out on weekends. He’s a wonderful entertainer and is excited to return to St. Therese for a visit. We hope you’ll join us for an enjoyable evening of music and community.
Join Us for Donut Sunday, Sept. 13:
Join Us in Praying the Rosary: You are invited to gather with us on
Wednesdays at 9:15 am by the fireplace to pray the Rosary together. It’s a peaceful way to pause, reflect, and lift our intentions as a community.
As a reminder, we also offer the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet every Thursday at 3 pm in the Chapel for those who think this time works better.

The Men's Group meeting on Thur., Sept. 17: Our Men’s Group is excited to announce three upcoming events this fall. We will begin on September 17 with an evening focused on Saint Carlo Acutis, starting at 6:00 pm in the Community Room. October’s gathering will center on our patron, Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, and November will feature a ticketed event as our parish hosts the REBOOT experience with Chris Stefanick. We warmly encourage all men of the parish to mark their calendars and join us for these meaningful opportunities to grow in faith together.
